Tips To Simplify Web Design

Simplicity is a very valuable thing when it comes to the design of a website. It makes the website to look simple and glossy. Simplicity increases the web traffic resulting in more signups, subscriptions, and sales.

Simplification of the website provides efficiency which helps in achieving goals of the business. Here are some tips that will simplify your web design.

A simple website design shouldn’t be horrified; you can simplify your design by taking small steps. Simple tasks like putting the focus only on the essential elements of your website, getting rid of the unnecessary, reducing the number of pages, getting more content, limiting colors you use and many more. So in this article, we will discuss how you can simplify your website and make it more attractive.

Follow the Pareto Principle (80/20 Rule)

The Pareto Principle, also known as 80/20 Rule is the theory maintains 80% of the output from a given situation is determined by 20% of the input.
It is essential to have clutter free website. Get rid of the effect that is not required and the effects that do not drive sales. Remove the long string of text, forms with too many fields that occupy too much whitespace and the effect that add nothing to be functionality.

Use this principle to include only those things on a website which drives the business. The basic idea behind this principle is that you include only those 20% features that add functionality to your website. These 20% features ensure that you have everything covered that will enhance your business making the biggest impact it can make.

Reduce the number of pages

A large part of simplifying your website is to simply have fewer places to explore and click around. You can do that by trimming the page count. Either get rid of unnecessary pages that deep down inside you know aren’t needed, or at the very least, fuse multiple pages into one. I mean you don’t really need to separate about the site pages.

Make sure that your pages facilitate what is necessary and nothing more. Don’t keep unnecessary pages on your website because you think you need to, or because other websites have them. When you reduce the number of pages on your website, not only it is easier for your visitors to focus on your content because there are fewer places to click around, but your navigation menu is simpler too. By having a few numbers of menus item as possible, you make your website not only simpler but more inviting and friendlier to visitors.

Good Representations

As there is a lot of content available so it is vital to have a content which is very compelling to read. Imperative content is not enough; it must have a great presentation of content that makes the users read. Create a bullet list, highlight the important text, let go of fancy text etc. it assists the users to go through the whole content of the page.

Simple and Appealing Color Scheme

A simple but appealing color scheme will be better for the website. Use of too many colors will distract the visitors’ eyes from the content. Use light shades instead of dark and bright shades, which make your site attractive, simple and impressive.

A monotone color palette will often give your design a sleek and classic look that immediately attracts the visitors. Corporate websites mostly use the monotone color palette for their websites.

Seamless navigation

Any unfamiliar navigation strategies are likely to hinder the user experience. Navigation must be very smooth. Adding too many navigation features must be a good idea, but adding unfamiliar navigation may confuse the users to go back. It is important or necessary to have a very neat navigation. Here are some points that can improve and simplify navigation:

• Place the most valuable information above the fold
• Consider page scrolling
• Remove unnecessary links
• Navigation button should be standard
• Remove the pages which are not visited by the users
