A broken link or dead link is a link on a web page that no longer works because the website is encountering one or more of the reasons below. An improper URL entered for the link by the website owner. The destination website removed the linked web page (causing what is known as a 404 error).

A broken link is a hyperlinks a website which is linked to an empty or non-existent external webpages. When a broken link is clicked, an error message is displayed. As broken links potentially led bad impressions and unprofessional images in the mind of website viewers, they have to be tackled immediately by website developers and designers.A broken link is also known as a broken hyperlink or a dead link.

Broken links are links that lead to pages that do not exist. When clicking on a broken link, the page you land on is called a 404 error page, a standard HTTP response that indicates that the requested URL does’ not exist.

A broken link or dead link could be a link on an online page that not works as a result of the web site is encountering one or additional of the explanations below. Associate in Nursing improper computer address entered for the link by the web site owner. The destination web site removed the connected web content (causing what's referred to as a 404 error)

Its a dead link. You should always check you website for broken links. If there is any try to fix them or redirect them to the most relevant page.

Broken links are links that don’t work. Some of the reasons why links don’t work include:
A website is no longer available
A webpage was moved without a redirect being added
The URL structure of a website was changed
