HTML stands for Hyper Text Mark-up Language, which is used to create new websites or webpages. It's programming language that is quite easy to understand and easy to learn. Many resources available to learn this programming language.

Well I think it's the most common language to start with. Without knowing any HTML I don't think you'll get far.

Absolutely. Here's a thing though: HTML and CSS aren't programming languages (but, rather, a markup language and a style sheet language). ... And, as far as you've started with HTML and CSS, JavaScript seems like a logical way to expand your knowledge. However, you can also learn Python because it's more beginner-friendly.

I don't think Python is the absolute best language to learn first, though. ... HTML is a basic that any noob blogger or aspiring webmaster should learn first.

PHP is not a complex language. It's quite easy to use and understand, but it still has the features of a “real” programming language like Object Oriented Programming. It can be an easy beginner's language, but it also provides you room for learning new things.
