It depends on your needs actually. Some people still prefer older programming languages like C or C++ as they have more controls in term of memory management, etc. However, a more modern one like Java is more than enough for most of the application.

At the beginner level learn BASIC or C language. Once if you learned C language you can learn any programming language of the world

My choice is JAVA Because java Is easy compare to others and it is fully Object Oriented Programming Language . Most of the companies are using java for programming.

If you want to develop native Android apps, then Java is the way to go. Java is a general-purpose language best known for being relatively simple to use and scalable. The Java community is huge as well, so you'll be able to get a lot of support when learning the language.
