HTML sitemap, which is written in HTML for users and the other is XML sitemap, which is for the search engines to crawl your webpages.

There are two types of sitemaps in SEO:
(1) HTML sitemap - Helps user to find the pages which are not available in man page. (2) XML sitemap - This sitemap is designed for search engines to crawl the pages reside in sitemap. Both sitemaps are important. But we need to design the sitemap primarily for users.

There are two types of sitemaps, HTML and XML. HTML sitemaps are for visitors, which helps them to know the navigation/flow of the website. Whereas XML sitemap is for crawlers, which helps to tell about the total number of landing page a website is having and about pages which are available for crawling.

SEO includes two type of sitemap. First is XML sitemap and second is HTML sitemap.
XML sitemap is use for crawler while HTML sitemap is helpful for Users to navigate each page of website.

Sitemap is of two type for search engine and user. sitemap.xml is a index of all pages which helps search engine to crawl the site easily and HTML sitemap is for user
