Why Google rank Wikipedia on top for so many topics?
Hello optimizers I need to know that Why does Google rank Wikipedia on top for so many topics when we searching on Google?

wikipedia has good database and content for all things so it is in top. Every 13 users of internet are using wikipedia in this world.

The Google ranks Wikipedia on top for so many topics because Wikipedia always Maintain a Good Quality Content. And it regularly updates the content whenever necessary.

I don't think so Wikipedia is top raking because it always maintain good quality.There is something connection between Google and Wiki.

It's the best example of the Google Policy: Just post good and quality content on your site and you will be rewarded in turn. Also, the number of daily visitors counts much when analyzing ranking for Wikipedia. Additionally, Wikipedia doesn't support any kind of commercial activities which makes it a better place to get the knowledge on any topic.

Wikipedia is one of the best authority site and has high value in the eye of the different search engine. Quality and unique content are the main reason for the top rank of it in the Google. There are so many different topics with detail description are available on it so people give first preference to read it for any topic.

I think is because it is a information website and not a sales website. In my business under the keyword Domain Name Wiki is number one over Godaddy and NameCheap

Google loves human edited directories and it is also a non-commercial site. This can be the reason.
