Bounce rate (sometimes confused with exit rate) is an Internet marketing term used in web traffic analysis. It represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and then leave ("bounce") rather than continuing on to view other pages within the same site.

Bounce rate is a measure of the effectiveness of a website in encouraging visitors to continue with their visit. It is expressed as a percentage and represents the proportion of visits that end on the first page of the website that the visitor sees.

Bounce rate is the percentage of visitors who visit your site and without doing anything leave your site to the total visitors of your website.

Bounce Rate = Total number of viewing one page only/ Total entries to page

Bounce rate is in short the percentage of visitors who land on a particular page of a website and return without navigating to other pages. It can be determined as - Bounce Rate = [(Number of users who left the site without navigating/Total visitors to the website)*100]. Alternatively, you can check the Bounce Rate on Google Analytics if you have integrated it with your website.

Bounce rate calculates the percentage of your websites without going an inner page or subpage he leaves from your website.
bounce rate = total number of visitors who only view a single page/ total number of visitors who enter to that page x 100

Bounce rate is the percentage of visitors to a particular website who navigate away from the site after viewing only one page. It can be reduced by:

Good content update
Internal links
Easy navigation
Quick loading of webpage
