Pogo-sticking is when the searcher clicks on a link on a SERP, sees that it's not what she is looking for, and immediately bounces off by hitting the back button.

In pogo sticking user clicks on a link on a SERP, and sees that it's not what she is looking for, and immediately bounces off by hitting the back button. pogo sticking and bounce rate are both different things.

Pogo sticking occurs when a user performs a search, clicks on a result, very quickly clicks back to the search result page, and clicks on a different result.

A pogo stick is a device for jumping off the ground in a standing position, through the aid of a spring, or new high performance technologies, often used as a toy, exercise equipment or extreme sports instrument.

Pogo sticking: Pogo sticking occurs when a user performs a search, clicks on a result, very quickly clicks back to the search result page, and clicks on a different result. This type of behavior is a direct result of immediate dissatisfaction in the search result, and unlike bounce rate pogo sticking is always a bad thing.

Pogo-sticking is defined as going back and forth from a search engine results page (SERP) to an individual search result destination site.

This means that when the searcher clicks on a link on a SERP, sees that it’s not what he/she is looking for, immediately leaves by hitting the back button.

Pogo-sticking is defined as going back and forth from a search engine results page to an individual search result destination site. In other words, pogo-sticking is when the searcher clicks on a link on a SERP, sees that it's not what she is looking for, and immediately bounces off by hitting the back button.
