An RSS feed is a resource that shows the latest content from a source and the main thing about RSS is that it automatically updated. By submitting an RSS feed to different directories, you provide another way for your blog content to get syndicated and to distribute your backlinks.

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It refers to files easily read by a computer called XML files that automatically update information. This information is fetched by a user's RSS feed reader that converts the files into the latest updates from websites in an easy to read format.

All RSS files must conform to the XML 1.0 specification, as published. It's up to the source of the feed to establish the uniqueness of the string. That stripped-down content is usually plugged into what is called a “feed reader” or an interface that quickly converts the RSS text files.

RSS stands for “really simple syndication,” or, depending on who you ask, “rich site summary.” At its heart, RSS is just simple text files with basic updated information — news pieces, articles, that sort of thing.

RSS feeds are a simple an effective way to add fresh content on your site. When you add RSS feeds to your sites, your site will get updated automatically with headlines and snippets of new content from your RSS site sources. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's an easy way for you to keep up with news and information that's important to you, and helps you avoid the conventional methods of browsing or searching for information on websites. Now the content you want can be delivered directly to you without cluttering your inbox with e-mail messages.
