i am a newbie webmaster and i want to know about alex ranking.. Please tell me about alexa ranking?? What is alex ranking and what are its benefits??

An Alexa ranking is an indicator used to gauge site performance.One can use the Alexa Ranking when analyzing whether it is worth investing time in going after an affiliate.

ALEXA is not related to google. it gives you a good rank based on the traffic of your website, if you have a good alexa rank it means your site is good and u have lot of traffic. hence it makes a brand of your website.

This is a ranking system set by alexa.com that basically audits and makes public the frequency of visits on various Web sites.

Alexa is not connected to Google. However, the Alexa rankings are a very good measuring tool used to see how well a site will do in the Search engine page results (SERPS). The very 1st thing I do when working SEO for a new client is register the domain with Alexa and make sure you have the Alexa toolbar downloaded on your browser. Many people dont know this. Alexa rankings only count in Alexa if someone goes to the page with the Alexa toolbar in their browser. If You visit you site or any website without it, Alexa doesn't count it.

Alexa ranking is a type of ranking system which is given on the amount of traffic your website have. It is inversely proportional to the amount of website traffic. More traffic a website have, less will be alexa rank.
