What are the New Changes in JEE Main 2019 and Its Important Dates?
JEE Main 2019 is an engineering entrance examination that is conducted for students wanting to pursue a carrier in engineering. In India, every engineering aspirant dreams of clearing the JEE exam at some point in his/her life. The students are needed to clear JEE Main 2019 exam in order to get admission into various engineering institutes in India.
JEE Main 2019 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Earlier, JEE Main Exam was conducted by CBSE but from 2019 onwards, it will be conducted by NTA. Last year, a total of 11,35,084 students registered themselves for the JEE Main exam. The number of students appearing for JEE Main 2019 is expected to be similar to the previous years. The changes in JEE Main 2019 are few but are very major ones. Let us have a look at all the changes. •Change No. 1 – Fully Online Computer Based Test The JEE Main 2019 will be a conducted in fully Online Computer Based Test format. Till JEE Main 2018, the exams were conducted in both pen and paper-based as well as computer-based test format. This is a step taken to avoid any leakage of questions and malpractices. To help the students who don’t know how to use a computer, NTA will establish a network of practice centres starting from the third week of August 2018. Any student will be able to use this service free of charge. •Change No. 2 – Will be conducted twice a year The JEE Main 2019 will be conducted twice a year from 2019 onwards. Candidates will have to register separately for both the exams that will be conducted in January and April 2019. Students will get a chance to give both of the exams and the best score out of the two will be chosen for calculating the rank of the student. •Change No. 3 – Multiple exam dates JEE Main 2019 exam will be conducted on multiple dates. Earlier till JEE Main 2018, a particular exam was conducted on a single day and if a student missed it then he/she would have to wait for a whole year to give the exam. This problem has been solved as now there will be a span of period during which a student will be able to give the exam. There will be multiple dates in JEE Main 2019 exam and student will be able to choose a date as per the convenience.
