If you do Social media optimization, Social media marketing, Social Bookmarking also helps to get genuine traffic. Genuine traffic helps to increase SERP. Some off page activity help you to increase more traffic and back link also like Directory submission, forum posting, article submission, guest posting etc.

First of all, Do on-page fort your website like, solve conanical issue, robots.txt, create sitemap, alt tag use in images, content optimization, add social sharing button n your website. Then, do off page submission like, directory, social bookmarking, articles, blog posting and commenting is the best.

I want to tell you that no one is say that the particular activity definitely will increase the result, so i will suggest you to go for each activity like on page and off page optimization. Always tack care that your link must be quality links then sure you will get the better result.
