Indexing starts when the crawling process gets over during a search. Google uses crawling to collect pages relevant to the search queries, and creates index that includes specific words, or search terms and their locations.

But every page will be indexed, it can’t be assured. To check indexing status we use this command, “site:school4seo.com”. This command is used for even keyword mapping.

Indexing is a key process to get your website ranked. Your website can not get ranked until it indexed. So, you now have came to know that indexing is the first step of search engine optimization.

In layman's terms, indexing is the process of adding webpages into Google search. Depending upon which meta tag you used (index or NO-index), Google will crawl and index your pages. A no-index tag means that that page will not be added into the web search's index. By default, every WordPress post and page is indexed

Indexing generally refers to getting your web pages (or other various forms of content from PDFs to videos) indexed in Google & other search engines. A search engine will crawl your website in search of content to add to its index.
