An import is a good brought into a jurisdiction, especially across a national border, from an external source. The party bringing in the good is called an importer. An import in the receiving country is an export from the sending country.

Imports are foreign goods and services bought by residents of a country. Residents include citizens, businesses, and the government. It doesn't matter what the imports are or how they are sent.

For customs purposes, the party who makes (or on whose behalf an agent or broker makes) the import declaration, and who is liable for the payment of duties (if any) on the imported goods

Importers are people or businesses that acquire goods and services made in another country and resell them in their own.

An import is the good which can be a product, service or anything which is brought to the customers place from other countries overseas and the person or business responsible for getting that good from foreign land to the customer can be called as importers. in short the peoples or organisation responsible for importing goods from multiple countries in the world to native country is called as importers.
