Which one is important, increasing pagerank or providing fresh and quality content?
I was wondering, which one of those are important over the other? I saw people are working to get backlinks which said can increase pagerank rather than providing fresh and quality contents to the site.

Both are considered as important factors and page rank is dependent on Quality content. Without having quality content, you never able to improve your website page rank.

Which means if we work to get backlinks, gets a thousands backlinks from high pr sites but rarely provide fresh and quality content to the site, it doesn't give much impact to the pr of our site, right?
