H1 tag defines the title or main heading of a webpage and therefore there should be only one H1 tag on a webpage. This helps browsers and robots to identify your webpage content.

Heading tags, as the name implies, are tags that are used for the creations of headings.

The most important tag is the <h1> heading tag, and will usually be the title of a post.

Heading tags have a top-down hierarchy from <h1> to <h6>.

They rank in order of importance, from H1 to H6, with H1s usually being the title. Header tags improve the readability and SEO of a webpage.

Heading Tag

An HTML heading tag is used to define the headings of a page. There are six levels of headings defined by HTML. These 6 heading elements are H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, and H6; with H1 being the highest level and H6 the least.
