Is html is w3 recomended language so you may consider that atleast it will never go out of market because w3 is a community which sets the internet standards.Though i personally i believe that on internet nothing can go out of market.Internet has a business model like such.So you can start up with any markup language like cfml etc.It depends on you.The major advantage of learning less popular markups like cfml is that people get less developers of that language so the value of that developer is high due to less supply, but then there is trade off as well that it has less demand.Just as in the case of any business in this world. You should start with the one with which you feel comfortable.

Html is a decent PC programming dialect for fundamental information however PHP and Java are propelled dialects for PCs to learn. You Should do authority in one exceptional coding languages.

HTML, is the standard markup language used to create web pages. It is written in the form of HTML elements consisting of tags enclosed in angle brackets (like <html>). HTML tags most commonly come in pairs like <h1> and </h1>, although some represent empty elements and so are unpaired, for example <img>. The first tag in such a pair is the start tag, and the second is the end tag (they are also called opening tags and closing tags).

Web browsers can read HTML files and render them into visible or audible web pages. Browsers do not display the HTML tags and scripts, but use them to interpret the content of the page. HTML describes the structure of a website semantically along with cues for presentation, making it a markup language, rather than a programming language.

HTML elements form the building blocks of all websites. HTML allows images and objects to be embedded and can be used to create interactive forms. It provides a means to create structured documents by denoting structural semantics for text such as headings, paragraphs, lists, links, quotes and other items. It can embed scripts written in languages such as JavaScript which affect the behavior of HTML web pages.

HTML is a great first language, but CSS is a must for learning web development. Once you have those down, the next best thing to learn would probably be PHP since you can write HTML in a PHP file (more advanced though).

As most of the answers suggest you must learn HTML in order to enter website designing world. It is the simplest language you are going to learn, but making a great HTML design will take some time to learn but the concept is very simple. Don't think you are going to learn any programming logic in this its simple just to place elements. Nothing fancy here.

There is certainly no harm in it. But bear in mind like the previous poster said it is not really a programming language.

However learning a mark up language is useful, as you will no doubt encounter others like HTML who are very important technology in real programming work.

Yes HTML is the base of web develpoment & designing. Without it you will not learn any programming language. So start fisrt with HTML, CSS and then move forward to other languages.
