You can increase conversion rate through Facebook by using these tricks:

Promote Your Facebook Page On Your Other Social Networks.
Link to your website or blog in the “About” box on your Facebook Page.
Tell Your Email List About It.
Post Multiple Times Per Day.
Use Facebook Advertising.
Use video to get more exposure for your blog.
Add a landing page to one of your thumbnails.

if you starting from scratch then you have some genuine likes with genuine people. Then its depend on your products if your product is user consumable products like phone, cloths, foods then its good to start promote your facebook page then select interest and select your top competitor then you will get all of you competitors clients .
