The value of blog commenting is now diminished. It is not considered very effective as it doesn't show any importance in attracting any viewers towards any business quickly.

Blog commenting is relatively cheap compared to most other options, but it requires you to invest your time, effort and a lot of patience before you can reap its returns. That's why I don't waste my time and use paidforumposting.com service. I like them and highly recommend.

It depends. Some comments like Livefyre comments are still DOFOLLOW, but low quality links on sites unrelated to your site usually don't count for anything

One of the biggest benefits of responding to comments is an increase in traffic. The more comments you have on each blog post, assuming they aren’t spam, the more text each page will have.

Excessive use of blog commenting is easily caught up as spam but if you use it meekly then it is surely helpful in seo.

In my opinion, blog commenting is a great tool of SEO activity for website promotion. It’s a really good source of diverse links back to your domain. Its main goal is to drive traffic to your website.
