While Web hosting is the process of providing bandwidth and sufficient server space for any website to reside and it can be provided by some company which contract with business and individuals.

According to me,Web hosting is providing a computer and fast internet connection where web-pages can live, so people can see them on the internet and Web design is making web pages but not necessarily putting them on the internet.

Thanks for clearing the differnce.
In more simple words we can say that web designing is designing (and usually creating) web pages. Whereas web hosting, is putting those pages on an HTTP server.
