I used to use backlink tracker tool, keyword density cloud tool,keywords difficulty tool to analyze the keywords compared to competitors. All seo tools are necessarily needed. For this you can use webceo s/w in which all tools are embedded.

Social bookmarking is a good SEO method. It can help generate good traffic as well as backlinks.

Without SEO tools we cant asses our work and we don't know how far we succeed and which areas we have to improve our site through better optimization. Google analytics is the trusted one for SEO stats.

I've recently started using Moonsearch.com - a nice backlink checking tool. However, there are other sites for that purpose like Ahrefs or Majesticseo, it depends on what is most important for you - comprehensive information, infographics or speed.
