I always prefer Wordpress. It's best, you can also make it SEO friendly by using plugins. . It's also simple to use however you need to spend some time learning it if you are new to WordPress.

Based solely on aesthetics, Wordpress is much better than Blogger. I feel like every Blogger website looks just about the same because of a limited number of templates.

WordPress is far and wide more customizable than Blogger. You can upload “plugins”, pre-made features that do anything from count post views publicly to add Facebook buttons to notify Google of structural site changes.

I've wordperss blog and blogger blog both are good but when i'm post in wordpress blog it's cached by google bot quickly. In blogger blog it's not cached single time in whole year. So, wordpress is best.
