What is the difference between Black hat SEO and Grey Hat SEO. Practising any of these techniques will lead to get the website penalized, than how these techniques are differ from each other?

Black hat SEO refers to techniques and strategies used to get higher search rankings, and breaking search engine rules. Black hat SEO focuses on only search engines and not so much a human audience. ... White Hat SEO refers to any practice that improves search performance on a search engine results page (SERP) while adhering to that search engine’s policies.

Black Hat SEO tactics are disapproved practices that increase page rankings in a SERP by going against that search engine’s terms of service.

Grey Hat SEO, on the other hand, is SEO practice that remains “ill-defined” and/or “ill-advised” by search engine published guidelines and which can be disagreeable.

Google will have certain guidelines to be followed. The technique which follow those guidelines are white hat and which do not follow are black hat technique. The combination of white and black are grey hat technique

We have to avoid Black Hat Methods But Can use Gray hat sometime.
