I was following a PHP tutorial on w3 schools earlier today on php form validation, using the [PHP_SELF] to chuck out error messages when fields are left empty. I can quite easily get that to work and then was very supprised to find that they dont show you how to attach the mail script in their tutorial, whats the point in form validation if you cannot send the form contents!! Did not make sense to me, i know how to use the mail function but it just would not work.. Need to spend more time looking into why.

code academy is good for learning programming, it is one of the only programming tutorial websites that tests you on each topic which is good for those who learn hands on.

To start with, there was nothing. That being said, there were static website pages that must be altered physically. That was a torment. Furthermore it didn't do something besides show content and pictures on a site page.

You should learn it from a php expert however basic knowledge about php can be obtained from online sites including php dot net and w3schools
