These two terms are completely inversely proportional to each other.
SEO: This is a very slow process to achieve a good result for the website. PPC: This is like expand money and watch the show. Both are good but its depend on the timing of need.

In my point of view seo is good compared to ppc because these pay per click method have give only temporary result,but seo give an natural and consistent result.

Depending upon your budget, you can select any one of them since PPC requires for high budget whereas SEO is effective in comparison to PPC and if you want to see result within a short period of time, you can do PPC and when your patience level is high and wait for the result, SEO is best. And talking about my experience, I would suggest you to go with SEO, that is best and its result will make you happy.

The main difference between Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC) is that traffic coming from SEO (organic) is free while traffic generated from PPC is not free (as the name implies you have to pay a cost per click).

Both are important in today time and its depend on business which method it choose. PPC give instant result but are expensive while SEO is a slow process result come after 2-3 months
