A long-tail keyword may be a keyword phrase that contains a minimum of 3 words (though some say 2 or additional is taken into account long-tail). Long-tail keywords are accustomed target niche demographics instead of mass audiences. In alternative words, they are additional specific and sometimes less competitive than generic keyword terms.

Long tail keywords are combination of three and four keywords which are very, very specific to whatever you are selling. You see, whenever a searcher uses a highly specific search term, they tend to be looking for exactly what they are actually going to buy.
