1st use Page Rank checker tool to see the PR of the sites, i recommend you prchecker.net to check PR. Then see whois..

First check out the bookmarking site is in high page rank then use it. Check your google analytics and find out which sites you get more visitors.

Page rank is the most important and it can be from 0 the lowest to 10 the highest.
Also you can check for backlinks page ranks.Different sites show different page rank so be careful. cheers

I read all comment all people recommended high PR. But if you are practical check that site robots status maximum high pr site block their content use disallow option. So no any benefit to bookmarking in these type of sites.
If site provide you do-follow link and has PR 1 or more than 1 it means site is perfect for bookmarking.

There are many sites which gives you a nofollow backlink which have not so important for SEO.
So, use only dofollow social bookmarking sites so that you can build quality dofollow backlinks for your site. It will help your site to achieve better position in search results.

when i am cheaking my backlink online some website give result and some website not ?
why i have face this problem?
