It is not an outdated programming language but it is used in most of coding done nowadays because it is server scripting language and easy to manage and install over the internet. Furthermore, it is an open source language too.

PHP is a chronic language but it is not an outdated programming language because 90% of websites still using PHP. It is the most used language for web development. If we talk about PHP, it is basically a server site scripting language. Initially,it is known as Personal Home Page but after sometime it is called as hypertext Preprocessor, developed by Rasmus Lerdorf, which is powered by zend engine.

PHP With a number of web development languages available out there, choosing the right one for designing your website is quite a challenging task. So, before we get to a final decision of declaring PHP better than other web development frameworks, let us get to know more about PHP
1.Fast and Reliable
2.Platform Independent
3.Large and Active Community
4.Higher Performance, More Flexible and Enhanced Graphics
5.Open Source

More than 244 millions of websites are running on PHP. That itself speaks how powerful it is. It is open source, but the quality and security aspect is never compromised with PHP.
