I want to know about redirection. I have changed my website URL which is on google search engines ranking so I want to know how use redirection. will google penalize my site for redirection.

When you use Apache, you can redirect URLs by using the Redirect directive to point a folder or a location to a different folder on either the same Web site or a different Web site.

I think we can be make redirection with .htaccess file easily.

When any of your site page is not working or any technical problem is there than you can use redirection.
