Its really tough to say what are the activities will work in seo. But one thing is sure paid advertising will become crucial for promoting business. Apart from that social media will play an important role in promoting your business, while other things like link building will no longer work.

I don't think that the most valuable and powerful techniques are going to be new. I think that the most effective techniques are going to return to specific principles, but they will be taken to a new level of quality and importance. I believe that the quality of the content you are creating will be one of the most influential aspects of SEO in 2014. I also believe that there is going to be a rise in people using Google based services as we find that ranking in their engines will be easier by doing so. I may be wrong about this part, but I see signs that I am not.

There is no new technique in SEO but there are strategies which we have to follow. That are as follows-

- Now brand optimization is more important than website keywords optimization.
- Links should be build on high PR and relevant websites.
- Social media presence is also important.
- Use of fresh and high quality content.

1) Create a standard website using valid html tags. Follow html validation
2) Write unique content / use content rich websites
3)Structure website with easy navigation, linking , headings, pictures
4)Use RSS and XML sitemaps
5) Use google webmaster tools for submitting the website
6) Or hire some expert from SEOclerks.
