I think no methods where quick to get top rank you can get top ranking about 6 month. So you will use many way to getting top ranking on the search engine like article submission. social bookmarking. social networking. forum posting, blog commenting also.

SEO can never be quick... It's all about continuous efforts on various SEO techniques such as social media marketing, on & off page optimization, forum / blog participation, article submission, social bookmarking and more.
