It will work better than other social networking site but not now. I don't see so much of effect.

At the moment, very little effect, Facebook is still dominating for me. But I can see it gaining traction.

It works but we have to make long term strategy for that. Rite now it is not for building brand or creating awareness like Facebook people using it for ranking.

From my opinion plus one button is more effective than facebook like button. It's recommend user when a user search in google in logged in mode.
