Thin content are those contents which can be identified as low quality pages and you can recognize it easily to see the users engagement at your page means by bounce rate. These content are duplicate content, automatically generated content or doorway pages. Thin content is not good for long term SEO so avoid it.

Thin content means the contents have less no. of words or characters and does not provide any significant information to the visitor. Having a thin content in your website or blog can get you penalized by Google and can decrease your search engine rankings.
