Finding the optimal settings for your image requires careful analysis along many dimensions: format capabilities, content of encoded data, quality, pixel dimensions, and more.

File name, Title, Alt Text, Description, File Format are all part of the image optimization process. Basically, how easy is it to tell what the picture is about without actually looking at the picture and how quickly can I get it to load without compromising quality.
