There are Two types of seo Strategy On page seo and Off page seo. Both is very important for the site to get good rank and visitors on the site.

Initially a new site does not at all appear in SERPs of google as they are in the sandbox, secondly it can be removed from the sandbox by building good quality links for a website.

I'm working hard on SEO.

I have to say, in my experience: backlink are very good (hard to have them), and of course updating the website very often!
Social sharing is good for traffic, but to grow up in google results the traffic is nothing.

The same question came into my mind when I started first website, It was religion related and I wanted people to know what I have to say, then I went to IRC servers and started sharing link in religion rooms, so you can visit marketing chatrooms and do the same and also there are websites like SEOClerks where freelancers offer to promote your websites for a small cost.Try these and you will get best results!
