I learned about two years ago that the top three ranking signals in Google's search algorithm were links, content and RankBrain. What are the top three ranking signals as at 2018? Are they still the same?

Yes its the same in 2018 just lot of factors are added for validating this signals like just having links is insufficient the links should be high quality. The content should also be of the high quality and should be original with no grammar mistakes.
