ASP comes from Microsoft and they are not run by Non-Microsoft servers (it's just text to them). PHP runs on any server that is able to carry out CGI - which includes Microsoft servers.

The ASP is essentially a Microsoft object. Non-Microsoft servers don’t recognize or read it. I think that it will still be better to make use of PHP.

ASP which is the short form of Active Server Pages, is a program which works with Microsoft and IIS or Internet Information Server. But ASP must have a Microsoft Server for the website to work.

If you are ever going to make that choice between the PHP and ASP, are you aware on which one to pick for your site? Please tell me the details.

ASP needs a Microsoft Server for the website to work. On the other, PHP or Hypertext Preprocessor, runs using Linux or Unix server. Use of the PHP is extensive in this world though!
