The Meta Description Limit for Google is 160-165 characters.

There are two different things if you created your website in HTML then the meta description limit is 135 to 156 characters.
If you created your website in wordpress then the limit is 160 characters.
My opinion is make your website in wordpress , it will help you in every problem.
