SiteMap is simply a text file which list all the web pages of your website. It tell search engines (Like Google, Yahoo, Bing) about the organization of your website content. So search engine crawlers has ability to read it and crawl your web pages in a more intelligent manner.

A XML sitemap is certainly useful in getting the web crawlers to file another website. Once the site is listed it is not exactly so essential, accepting all the pages of your site can be explored to by clients. The internet searcher bots will take after those connections and locate your substance.

A sitemap simply a list of pages on your website. Sitemap is important because it tells the search engines about the content tat you have on your site and how often it's updated. This helps with search engine optimization because it makes it easier for google to find out about the content on your site so that they serve it up in the search results.

Indexing the main benefit but submitting sitemap to search engines is a way to let know the search engines about the regular updates of your site.Also the crawlers can easily navigate through site using sitemap.

Basically is two types of Sitemap First Xml site and HTML site map
XML site map helps to search engine index all pages quick and HTML only for users not for search engine
