NgModule is a decorator function in Angular that takes a single metadata object whose properties describe the module.

It is nothing but a collection of metadata describing components, directives, services, pipes, etc. When you add these resources to the module metadata, Angular creates a component factory, which is just an Angular class that churns out components.
