differences between the Linux and Windows servers
One of the biggest differences between the Linux and Windows servers is security. Linux is built much more secure than Windows servers.Linux supports PHP and Windows generally supports ASP. Linux is generally more options.All website today currently use a Web server, Windows or Linux server-based applications

For equivalent spec, Linux based servers running open-source technologies (eg RoR, LAMP stack, Wordpress etc) tend to be much lower in cost than the equivalent Windows machines running ASP, .NET, SQL Server with more expensive licensing.

main difference between linux server and windows server is security,Linux is more secure than windows ,another diffference is that linux supports PHP and windows supports PSP.

Huuum, security is main difference between linux and window. linux is secure and open source servers. windows is paid.

Linux and windows are different operating system. Linux is open source operating system while windows is proprietary. Linux is more secure and more efficient than windows.Also Linux files are Case sensitive while Windows file are not.One thing that make linux more popular operating system is that it is relatively inexpensive. while windows operating system is more expensive. Also windows provide paid help support while Linux user rely online and support from a huge online community.

ASP.NET MSSQL Visual Basic Linux case-sensitive and Windows is not case sensitive
