When two sites or web page contain same data then we can implement canonical tags on that site to give signals to search engine to not mark as a duplicate.

Acanonical tag specifies the source url (or unique content material page) of a given web page to a search engine together with google. Canonical tags are used to claim a unmarried web page as its own source or for replica pages to reference their supply / originating page.

A canonical tag specifies the source URL (or original content page) of a given page to a search engine such as Google. Canonical tags are used to declare a single page as its own source or for duplicate pages to reference their source originating page. Search Engines use the canonical tag to combat duplicate content issues and assign search engine ranking value for that content to the page designated as the source URL.

we will see how to create canonical URL. This is a very small task. We just need to use a canonical tag to apply Canonicalization.

Canonical tag is the another option to deal with the duplicate content. The canonical tag passes the same amount of link juice as 301 redirect.

The canonical tag tells Google and other search engines which version of a page is the original or official piece of content,
