I recommend writing web scripts in PHP, not CGI / Perl. PHP is much better suited to the Web and takes less “overhead,” meaning that scripts will run faster.

I prefer PHP and Ruby on Rails both are simple and easy to learn. But I use PHP language for programming. Because it is very easy to learn, easy to work, and easy to maintain the code.

There are various programming languages available there but it depends upon your need that what kind of language you have to use. For website development you should use PHP because it takes less overhead and that is why script written in PHP language will run faster and your server can handle more users on your website.

I prefer to use both PHP and Ruby, as you can easily learn them. But PHP is quite effective, and it is easy to maintain the codes in it.

It is better to follow PHP service so that one can get the best use of web scripts. It will run faster and will help the user to work fast without any drawback.

It is always advisable to write web scripts in different programming languages such as Perl, PHP. PHP is without doubt the best choice for web world.

I usually recommend Java as a first language. However, HTML->Javascript can also be a good route

I suggest writing Web scripts PHP, CGI / Perl. PHP is more suitable for the network and less costly "overhead", which means that the script runs faster, the server, will be able to handle more concurrent users, you sit
