What is 404?

Hello Members,

Can you please tell me about the 404 in SEO.

hi
404 is the one type of computer error.

This type error arise when you request some thing but server don,t find that page so this this error arise .

Name of this 404 error is Page not found.

404 is a frequently-seen status code that tells a Web user that a requested page is "Not found." 404 and other status codes are part of the Web's Hypertext Transfer Protocol ( HTTP ), written in 1992 by the Web's inventor, Tim Berners-Lee. he 404 or Not Found error message is an HTTP standard response code indicating that the client was able to communicate with the server, but the server could not find what was requested.

When you creating a website link or linking in other website if not gives correct path, the 404 error generates, the link is not properly working, file does not exist.

I think,
It is server side error where, we sent a request but the page does not find then these problem become.
