Outgoing/Outbound links are links that are meant to take you elsewhere. These are links that are going to direct you to another specific webpage or website altogether.

In layman's terms, there are two types of links:

Outbound Links

Outbound links start from your site and lead to an external site,

e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Instagram, Skype etc

Inbound Links

Inbound links or backlinks, come from an external site to yours. A hyperlink on a third-party web page that points to a web page on your site.

Outbound links are the links that are pointing to other sites from your site. It's always good to have more number of inbound links to your site.

Outgoing link is nothing but your internal links which present on your site. This link redirect from your one web page to another.

Outbound links, also called as external links. When another website links to you, it is considered an outbound link and this sends visitors to entirely new domain which you website have. These links are very essential, not just for search engines to find new websites and analyze these for search results but are also very helpful for website visitors also.
