I think nofollow links are also equally important
I personally feel that nofollow links are also equally important for Seo.Please share your experience because as per my experience pages with a lot of nofollow links are also ranked high.I think terms like black hat seo are just propoganda.

Yes, I'm beginning to feel that an even distribution of all types of links gives the feel of a strong natural network that would suggest your site has value.

no follow doesn't count as back link to the site from search engine but it can be helpful as an traffic generate source if it's come from high pr sites.The idea behind a no follow link is that a search engine will not click through a link flagged as such. A no follow link can be good or bad depending on the context of how it is utilized.

No follow links doesn't consider back connection to the site from internet searcher yet it can be useful as a movement produce source on the off chance that its originate from high pr sites.The thought behind a no take after connection is that a web index won't navigate a connection hailed thusly. Yes no follow links are also important because we have seen that most of the link juice are getting from the dofollow links, but for a website quality and good sense link is also important.

No follow link are also important if you are getting from high PR websites and it should not be greater than dofollow backlinks, there should be mixture of both, totally no- follow backlinks won't help you.
