Change Default Search in Firefox

Change Your Default SearchTired of having Yahoo as the default search engine in Firefox? Maybe it is another search engine’s turn to be on top?! If you feel the urge to dethrone Yahoo as the default search engine for your Firefox search box - this is how you can get it done:

In your address bar, type in: “about:config”

Inside of the filter search box, type in:

browser.search.defaultenginename

Double click that entry (or right click and choose “Modify”) and then type in the name of the search engine you wish to have as the default search engine. It must be one that you already have installed and also make sure you type in the name correctly.

Google, Bing & yahoo are the primary search engines. Similarly they are other search engines which are general in nature...

Despite Google, yahoo and bing have a wide popularity as Search Engines, some other search engines are also there which are important to consider like Ask.com. Google is sharing a big portation of search engine market place and rest like yahoo, bing, aol, ask are doing a resonable job as they have they amount of share too. But still google is primary search engine.
