orkut is social site with no active audience in it, so you get boring seeing profile of other. I would suggest to active social media site. where you can rapid interact with people.

In orkut also you create and you can maintain different communities, but this not that much great than FB.

Well from now point of view orkut is no more usable by peoples so there is no use to promote page from orkut.. Just do one thing make facebook page and promote it from there as it reflects more traffic and increase in visibility of page around the world .
