What is the major difference between HTTP and HTML

HTTP stands for hypertext Transfer Protocol, where as HTML stands for hyper text mark up language. HTTP is client server protocol, and HTML is a format, by which is used in web designing. HTML displays a wide range of colors, objects and shapes, which help in designing the web page. It is actually the primary format, which is used in World Wide Web. HTTP avails the rules and regulations, which helps in transmission of information in World Wide Web. So, there is a huge difference between HTTP and HTML, both has completely different purpose. So, do not get confused between these two abbreviations.

Both are different things, HTTP is "Hyper Text Transfer Protocol" which is used for client base server and HTML stands for "Hyper Text Markup Language" which is used for designing of any website.
