What is the 301 redirect?

If you need to change the URL of a page as it is shown in search engine results, we recommend that you use a server-side 301 redirect. This is the best way to ensure that users and search engines are directed to the correct page. The 301 status code means that a page has permanently moved to a new location.

301 redirect - When you redirect your domain name using a 301 redirect, it sends visitors to the specified site with a "301 Moved Permanently" HTTP response. The HTTP 301 response code tells user-agents (including search engines) the location has permanently moved.

A 301 redirect is a permanent redirect which passes between 90-99% of link juice (ranking power) to the redirected page. 301 refers to the HTTP status code for this type of redirect. In most instances, the 301 redirect is the best method for implementing redirects on a website.

A 301 redirect is a permanent redirect from one URL to another. 301 redirects send web site visitors and search engines to a one of a kind URL than the one they at first typed into their browser or selected from a search engine results page. These redirects also link a range of URLs under one umbrella so search engines rank all of the addresses based totally on the domain authority from inbound links.

301 Redirection - It is a permanent redirect method by which a person visiting an old page (URL) is automatically redirected to a new page (URL). 301 Redirects transfer the domain authority (DA) and page authority (PA) and all the inbound links that the URL had to the new URL. It is used when you change your domain because you want Google to index the new domain while also sending the traffic visiting the old URL to the new one.

301 redirect is that a lot of confusion as to what to do when delete, move or want to redirect incoming web traffic from an 'old' web page to a new web page.
